Way back before, Estë was the Valie of healing and tended to all manner of sicknesses and hurts in Lórien. She slept days since most of the good healing time was at night and she got more quality time with her honey bunny that way.
On Órë it's a little harder to fit in because the mortals have figured out so much on their own, but there's still a market for natural healing, like the classes she teaches at Ossíriand University. Being on a daytime schedule is hard to get used to sometimes (like when her students catch her asleep at her desk), and so is a long-distance marriage, so she gets back to Lorell Inn as much as she can, either in mind or body. Technology stumps her, whether it's a stethoscope or an answering machine.
The only thing Estë can't figure out is why they call it "alternative" medicine. It's really the other way around isn't it? |
